Baptism
”Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
Those interested in making a special commitment to follow the path of Jesus and live the Christian faith do so through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Baptism is a wonderfully powerful sign of the new life in Christ using the symbols of water, holy oil and light.
Baptism is conducted periodically throughout the year and is included as part of our Sunday celebration of Holy Communion during the 10:30 am service.
If you would like to have your child baptized, or if you as an adult are interested in baptism, please call the church, visit us on Sunday morning, or contact us via email.
Marriage
“There was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.”
John 2:1-2
Those wishing to be married in the church do so in order to come before God and have their union blessed in His name.
If you wish to be married at St. Hugh & St. Edmund at least one person of the couple must be baptized in any Christian tradition.
Please contact the clergy for more information.
Funerals
“Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
The loss of a loved one is a traumatic and difficult time. We are here to help you in planning a memorial service that honours the life and memory of your loved one and to help you through this difficult time.
Please contact the church by phone or email for more information.
